Dr Edwina Toulmin – Principal Dentist and McMahons Point Dental Director

Dr Edwina grew up in Lindfield, Sydney and attended Ravenswood School. She always had a keen interest in science, leading her eventually to dentistry. After studying Medical Science at the University of Sydney, she moved to Queensland to complete her postgraduate qualifications in dentistry. She began her dental career working in a practice in Lake Macquarie. “This experience was extremely valuable as it exposed me to a greater variety of treatment than I would have had in a city practice.”- Dr Edwina

As a self-confessed dental nerd, Dr Edwina spends the majority of her time working in her practice, going to dental conferences and reading about teeth. After dentistry, her greatest passion is food: eating it, cooking it, reading about it and talking about it! She practices yoga and meditation daily and enjoys art, opera, theatre, and swimming and is addicted to buying books full of more knowledge.

With a special interest in dental anxiety and phobia, Dr Edwina works with dental therapy dog Chloe to put people at ease when they come for their appointments. She is known for her gentle approach to dentistry.
