Looking for Teeth Whitening in North Sydney?
Everyone knows that smiling is the best way to make a great first impression when meeting a new person. Research has shown that after your eyes, your mouth is the first thing that somebody notices about you. Don’t hide your true self behind coffee stains and discolored teeth. Flash your bright, white smile wherever and whenever you want.
McMahons Point Health offers a range of general dentistry services in North Sydney. Our in-house dentist, Dr. Edwina Toulmin, is highly experienced in conducting teeth whitening treatments. Our tooth whitening treatment is done with the utmost safety and professionalism.
Teeth Whitening Procedure
Dr Toulmin offers two different types of teeth whitening procedures. These help you to achieve a whiter smile as well as giving many patients greater confidence.
There is also evidence that whitening your teeth can decrease the amount of plaque and decay-causing bacteria in your mouth, improving your overall oral health. The two types of whitening procedures that we offer are in-chair and take-home whitening.
Teeth Whitening with McMahons Point Health, North Sydney is completely safe .
This procedure occurs in the safety if our dental clinic, offering the fastest results. If you are nearing your wedding or graduation date, or have another important event coming up, this is the procedure for you.
Teeth Whitening procedures involve placing a cheek retractor into your mouth to expose the teeth that are visible when smiling. We first protect the gum tissue from irritation by covering them with a special coating. Then we apply a bleaching gel made with carbamide peroxide to the teeth and leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes.
This bleach is then suctioned or washed off, and we apply more gel as needed until we obtain the right colour. An LED light is used to activate and enhance the bleaching process.
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
For take-home whitening, we have individual trays made for you. Having the trays custom made for you prevents wasting whitening gel or causing damage to your gums from ill- fitting trays.
You take them home and wear them at a time that suits you. Results are slower than in-chair whitening but there is less risk of sensitivity and the results are often better.
